NoPause Playback Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 4, 2026
1. Scope and operator
NoPause Playback ("NoPause", "we", "us", or "the extension") is operated by TMETE. It provides playback anti-pause protection, per-website autoplay, page display options such as infinite scrolling and page merging, and an optional Premium feature for automatically clearing matching browser history.
This policy covers the extension's local features, optional compatibility and usage statistics, and the NoPause uninstall feedback service. Payment services and visits to our website are addressed separately in this policy.
Privacy contact: [email protected]
2. Information stored and processed in your browser
NoPause uses Chrome's local extension storage to save:
- The managed website domains you add and their feature settings.
- Per-website session counters used to apply the Free plan's usage limit.
- Language preferences, interface preferences, and migration information.
- A local cache of the account and subscription status returned by ExtensionPay, used to recognize Premium access.
- The original installation time when available, your statistics choice, reminder state, and synchronization information. Statistics identifiers and pending uploads are created only after you agree to statistics collection.
ExtensionPay stores its activation credentials, account and subscription information, and installation timestamp using Chrome Sync storage, with local storage as a fallback if Sync storage operations fail. Depending on your Chrome settings, this information may be synchronized by Google across Chrome browsers signed in to your Google account. This payment-related storage is separate from NoPause's optional statistics collection and is used even when statistics are declined.
An upgrade may read website and counter data previously stored through Chrome Sync to move it into local storage. This migration does not itself send that information to our statistics service.
To operate on a managed website, NoPause locally examines the current page address, page structure, media elements, playback state, and pagination information. These processes help identify the main player and apply the selected playback or page display behavior. NoPause's statistics client does not upload the complete page address, page content, media content, passwords, or form entries.
3. Optional compatibility and usage statistics
3.1 Your affirmative choice
NoPause presents an in-extension notice describing the statistics and their purpose. Collection for the NoPause statistics service begins only after you select "Agree and continue" in that notice. Merely opening the extension, closing its popup, or selecting "Cancel" does not authorize statistics upload. Declining statistics does not prevent use of the extension's existing features or change your subscription entitlement.
After agreement, the current managed website list and relevant settings are included in the initial synchronization, and subsequent supported changes are uploaded automatically. We do not request a separate statistics decision for every website you add or remove. If you cancel, the extension may remind you again later, subject to its reminder limits. A popup closed without a choice remains undecided.
The statistics choice is separate from Chrome's optional history permission and from the information needed to process payments or provide Premium access. Agreeing to statistics does not enable browser-history deletion or authorize payment.
3.2 Information sent to our statistics service
For an installation that has agreed, the client may send:
- Installation information: a randomly generated installation identifier, extension version, consent notice version, consent time, and the original installation time when it is available.
- Managed website information: the domain of each supported public website in the managed list; whether it remains managed; known addition and removal dates; and counts of additions and removals. Previously removed websites can remain in the installation's statistics record.
- Usage information: new per-website session counts observed after agreement, daily usage totals, cumulative observed usage, and the last observed use time. A session count follows the extension's existing use-counting rules; it is not a record of every page visit or refresh. Refreshing a page without a qualifying playback or page-display session need not increase the count.
- Feature settings: per-website autoplay and page display mode, and whether the global Auto Clear Browsing History switch is enabled. The history switch is a setting value; browser-history entries and deleted URLs are not included.
- Usage stages: whether a website has been added, whether a website's 20-use Free limit has been reached while on the Free plan, and whether Premium access has been confirmed. These stage indicators do not contain payment card details or a payment account identity.
- Technical values necessary to authenticate an installation, match its uninstall receipt, reject duplicate submissions, and maintain synchronization.
The automated statistics payload does not include a person's name, email address, payment account identifier, complete page URLs, browser-history entries, or page content. It does not scan the browser's complete browsing history for analytics. Usage events from private or incognito windows are excluded from statistics.
Dates or stages that cannot be established for an older installation remain unknown. Earlier usage is not reconstructed or assigned to the day of agreement. Current settings and known stage status may still be included when you first agree.
The installation identifier distinguishes browser installations rather than identifying a named person. It allows records from the same installation to be linked over time, so these records should not be understood as fully anonymous. Reinstallation can create a new identifier.
3.3 Purposes and access
We use these records to prioritize compatibility testing and improvements, understand how the extension's features are configured, measure usage of managed websites, and investigate friction in the extension's installation, initial use, Free-limit, and Premium-access experience.
The NoPause statistics dashboard is restricted to authorized administrators. It presents website totals, trends, feature-setting counts, and installation or uninstall summaries. Its ordinary statistics views do not display each installation's complete website list. The service database retains installation-linked records as described in Section 7. Submitted feedback text can be read by authorized administrators to address product issues.
Statistics are not used for advertising, sold as browsing data, or used to build advertising profiles. Managed website lists are not distributed to other extension users as program configuration.
4. Uninstall receipts and optional feedback
For an installation that has agreed to statistics and successfully registered with our service, NoPause configures Chrome to open the following page after uninstall:
https://tmete.net/products/nopause/feedback
The uninstall address includes the selected interface language and a random receipt token. When that page loads successfully, it automatically submits the token to our service. The first valid receipt is recorded once and associated with the installation's last synchronized statistics. Refreshing or reopening the same receipt does not create another uninstall count.
The receipt time is the time our service receives the request. It may differ from the exact uninstall time. Offline conditions, unsuccessful registration, a page that fails to load, or changes that have not yet synchronized can result in missing or incomplete records. A period without uploads is not automatically treated as an uninstall. Uninstalls from installations that have not agreed to statistics are not registered by this client.
You may optionally select an uninstall reason and submit feedback. Selecting "Other" displays an optional explanation field limited to 300 characters. The selected reason, explanation, and submission time are stored with the receipt record after you press the feedback submission button. You do not need to submit a reason for the uninstall receipt to be counted.
Unsubmitted feedback drafts and the receipt token are temporarily kept in that tab's session storage so you can refresh and continue editing. Refreshing does not submit the draft. The draft is cleared from session storage after a successful submission; the browser otherwise controls the lifetime of that tab's session storage.
Feedback may contain information you choose to enter. Please do not include passwords, payment information, private page addresses, or other sensitive personal information. Simply visiting the feedback address without a valid receipt does not register an uninstall.
5. Optional Auto Clear Browsing History
Auto Clear Browsing History is a Premium feature and is disabled by default. When you enable it, NoPause shows an in-extension explanation and requests Chrome's optional history permission. This permission is separate from statistics consent.
With that permission, the extension examines Chrome history locally and permanently deletes exact HTTP or HTTPS URLs that match your managed domains and their subdomains. It can remove matching existing entries and future entries as Chrome records them. Removing a domain from the managed list stops future matching for that domain; turning the feature off stops automatic deletion and removes the optional history permission.
This feature is not Incognito mode. A visit may be recorded briefly before deletion, and deleting an exact URL removes its recorded occurrences. Deleted entries cannot be restored by NoPause. Domains outside the managed list are not selected for deletion by this feature.
History matching and deletion take place on your device. Browser-history entries and full history URLs are not uploaded to the NoPause statistics service. If you agree to statistics, only the feature's enabled or disabled setting is included in the statistics payload.
6. Service providers and sharing
6.1 Cloud hosting and technical processing
The NoPause statistics and feedback service uses Cloudflare hosting and database infrastructure. Information sent to this service is therefore processed through Cloudflare. Network infrastructure receives technical request information such as IP addresses, request headers, and request times to deliver and protect the service. NoPause also processes IP addresses for abuse prevention and stores hashed, time-limited rate-limit records rather than adding raw IP addresses to the website statistics records.
Infrastructure and service providers may process information outside your country. We do not promise that all processing or storage takes place in a particular country. See Cloudflare's privacy policy:
https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
6.2 Payments and Premium access
NoPause uses ExtensionPay to manage purchases, subscriptions, and Premium access. The extension contacts ExtensionPay to obtain the account or subscription status needed to recognize your entitlement, including when compatibility statistics are declined. Purchase and account-restoration flows may involve your email address and payment information. ExtensionPay uses Stripe for payment processing. NoPause's statistics payload includes only the relevant Premium status or stage indicator, not payment credentials or card information.
The extension does not collect your complete card number or card security code. Payment and account information is handled through the payment providers under their own policies. As the seller, we may receive the transaction information those services make available for billing, support, and applicable accounting obligations.

https://stripe.com/privacy
6.3 Support and other disclosures
If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and other information you voluntarily provide. We use that information to respond to your request. Our email provider processes messages needed to deliver and handle that correspondence.
We do not sell personal information or share managed website statistics with advertising platforms or data brokers. We may provide necessary information to service providers supporting the functions described in this policy, or disclose information when required by applicable law or reasonably necessary to address a security incident or abuse.
6.4 Google Chrome Sync
When Chrome synchronization is enabled, Google may process the ExtensionPay activation credentials, account and subscription information, and installation timestamp stored through Chrome Sync to synchronize them across your browsers, as described in Section 2. This synchronization is controlled by your Chrome and Google account settings and is subject to Google's privacy practices. NoPause's statistics identifiers, pending statistics uploads, and consent state are stored locally rather than through Chrome Sync.
Google privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
7. Retention
7.1 Local and synchronized browser information
Local settings, session counters, statistics state, and the local account and subscription cache remain in Chrome's local extension storage until changed or removed, the extension's local data is cleared, or the extension is uninstalled. Removing a managed website does not necessarily erase its historical counter or already uploaded statistics. The extension retains counters to prevent deleting and re-adding a website from resetting the Free usage allowance.
Information stored through Chrome Sync is managed separately under Chrome's synchronization and data-deletion behavior and your Google account settings. Clearing NoPause's local data is not a request to delete synchronized information, records held by ExtensionPay or Stripe, or records already sent to the NoPause statistics service. We do not promise that uninstalling NoPause immediately erases every synchronized or provider-held copy.
7.2 Cloud statistics and feedback
Daily usage, addition, and removal records linked to individual installations are retained for approximately 90 days. During scheduled cleanup, older daily records are combined into domain-and-date totals, and the old per-installation daily rows are removed.
The 90-day rule applies to those daily rows, not to all cloud records. Installation identifiers, consent records, known installation and last-use times, website records and cumulative counts, last synchronized feature settings, usage-stage indicators, uninstall records, and submitted feedback currently remain until separately deleted. The service does not automatically delete these other records after 90 days or immediately upon uninstall.
Historical domain-and-date totals can remain for long-term compatibility and usage analysis. After individual daily rows have been combined into those totals, the service no longer retains their installation-level breakdown. A later deletion of an installation does not remove its previously combined contribution from these historical totals.
Uninstalling stops future uploads from the extension but does not automatically erase information that has already reached the service. Expired rate-limit records and administrator authentication records are removed through scheduled cleanup. Provider-managed security records, backups, and payment records are subject to the relevant providers' retention practices and any applicable legal obligations.
8. Your choices and requests
You can decline the statistics notice and continue using NoPause's existing functionality. You can edit your managed websites and their feature settings, and you can separately enable or disable the optional history feature. Removing a website is not a request to delete all earlier cloud records.
NoPause currently does not provide an in-extension statistics-off or cloud-data-deletion switch after agreement. If you want to withdraw your statistics agreement or request access to, correction of, or deletion of records that can be associated with your installation, contact [email protected]. Your available rights depend on applicable law.
We may need limited information to locate the installation and verify that a request relates to your records. Please do not send authentication secrets, payment credentials, or a complete uninstall receipt link in an ordinary email. We will explain the information needed to handle your request. Because statistics identifiers are not linked to names or email addresses in the statistics database, an email address alone may not identify the relevant installation.
If you want uploads to stop immediately while a request is being handled, you can disable or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling may still open the feedback page and send the final uninstall receipt if it was already configured after agreement. Disabling the extension suspends its functionality as well as its uploads. Removing the extension does not cancel a paid subscription; use the subscription management flow separately.
Where applicable, you may also contact your local data-protection authority. We do not treat your continued use of the extension as affirmative agreement to new optional statistics collection.
9. Permissions
- Storage: Saves managed website domains, settings, session counters, language preferences, statistics consent and synchronization state, and a local account and subscription cache. ExtensionPay also uses Chrome Sync storage for activation credentials, account and subscription information, and its installation timestamp, with local storage as a fallback if Sync storage operations fail.
- Website access: Allows packaged content scripts to identify and operate on media players and pagination on websites you choose to manage, including supported embedded player frames. Broad website access supports user-selected websites rather than a fixed list of supported domains. Feature activation follows your managed website list, settings, and entitlement. Page addresses and content are processed locally for these features; complete page URLs, page content, and browser-history entries are not uploaded as statistics. Subscription-status requests support Premium access independently of statistics consent. Uploads to NoPause's statistics service occur only after explicit in-extension agreement and contain the information described in Section 3.
- Alarms: Schedules background statistics synchronization and retries. Each upload remains subject to the saved statistics agreement; scheduled tasks do not authorize collection or upload without that agreement.
- History (optional): Requested when a Premium user explicitly enables Auto Clear Browsing History. It allows NoPause to find and permanently delete matching browser-history entries locally, including existing entries and future visits to managed domains and their subdomains. Turning the feature off stops automatic deletion and removes the optional permission. Browser-history entries and complete history URLs are not sent to NoPause's statistics service.
10. Website measurements
Visits to TMETE marketing and privacy pages are separate from the extension's optional statistics uploads. These pages use Google Analytics and product-view counting to measure website visits. Website analytics can process technical and interaction information associated with visits to those pages. It is not fed managed website lists, per-website extension usage, page content, or browser-history entries by the NoPause statistics client.
The dedicated NoPause feedback page uses the uninstall receipt and feedback processes described in Section 4; it does not embed the marketing website's Google Analytics script. Chrome Web Store may separately provide us with aggregated store metrics, such as installs and uninstalls, under Google's own practices. Those reports are separate from the installation records collected by the NoPause statistics client.
Google privacy policy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy
11. Security and limited use
The extension connects to the statistics service over HTTPS. Installation credentials are required for authorized statistics requests, and administrator access to the dashboard is authenticated. The service stores hashes of installation authentication credentials and uninstall receipt tokens. Feedback text is handled as text rather than executed as code. Access to nonpublic records is restricted to service operation and authorized administration. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Our use of information received from Chrome and Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We limit use to the purposes disclosed in this policy and related operation of NoPause; we do not use the information for targeted advertising or sell it to data brokers.
12. Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its effective date when our practices change. Where a change requires additional disclosure or a new affirmative choice, we will provide that disclosure and obtain the necessary agreement before collecting the new optional statistics. Publishing a revised policy or continuing to use the extension does not by itself replace that choice.
